Lamp Post Stalker

These bizarre creatures are nocturnal predators with a unusual method of hunting prey. They will align their tall round bodies with a light post, changing their width in order to hide behind it perfectly. They move from post to post, getting closer and closer to their prey. When they finally get close enough, they reach out with their tentacles and whisk the struggling victim into their gaping maws before dashing back into the shadowy alleys again. While they are quite active in cities, and thus the name, they can be found in forests too where they get much bigger.
